The motif
A winged putto sits leaning against a two-wheeled basket cart, its head propped on one hand. The basket is pierced and set with painted little roses and applied forget-me-nots, the spokes of the wheels gilded.

Craftsmanship and painting
The basket is pierced by hand before firing, the small blossoms applied individually before the piece goes into the kiln a second time. Edges, wheels and wing tips are gilded. The piece is made of slip-cast porcelain which gains its hardness and gloss in the firing. Painting and gilding are applied by hand after the firing and fired a second time.

Placement and effect
The cart holds chocolates, sugar decorations or a few blossoms and stands on the laid table, on a bedside table or in a display cabinet. It goes with the menu card holders from the same range.

Material and care
Porcelain is colourfast and does not age, a soft dry cloth is all it takes. Hand-painted areas and gilding must not go into the dishwasher. Because every piece is painted by hand, no two are identical: slight variations in tone and brushwork are part of the process and are not a defect.
